Exhibition to mark the 300th anniversary from of the death of William Talman, English architect and landscape designer. During his long career, Talman worked on many of England’s country houses.
His principal work is recognised to be Chatsworth House, considered to be the first baroque private house in Britain. He acquired Felmingham Hall around 1700 and became Lord of the Manor where he lived until his death on 22nd November 1719. He was subsequently buried in the grounds of St Andrew’s Church, Felmingham.
