Saturday 16th November 2019 – 10.00 – 16.00 – new date confirmed.

We believe that the best way to learn traditional building skills is through hands-on experience. The heritage skills training day offer a unique opportunity to learn from experienced craftspeople and professionals. 

Join us for a training session and get up close to a live historic building conservation and restoration project on St. John De Sepulchre Church, Norwich. Please wear appropriate working clothes.

Programme:

10.00-10.30 – Presentation: lime mortar and traditional materials
10.30-10.45 – Briefing session, tea and biscuits (please bring your own cup)
10.45-13.00 – Hands-on pointing and flintwork*
13.00-14.00 – Lunch (sandwiches and snacks provided)
14.00-15.30 – Hands-on pointing and flintwork*
15.30-16.00 – Q&A and conclusion

*NB: Please wear appropriate working clothes.
