The NAA is hosting a lecture series as part of the RIBA’s Sustainable Autumn series, ‘People, Place, Planet’ around the theme of ‘Sustainable Materials’.

Paul Kings from Kings & Dunne Architects in Norfolk, who specialise in conservation work, will discuss the sustainability of conservation. Paul will present some project examples focussing on how existing buildings, and in particular historic and listed buildings, can be a prime example of sustainable development. The careful management and adaptation of historic buildings is becoming a much more important topic in today’s world of energy conservation and sustainable design. How can we utilise historic buildings to suit modern needs whilst reducing energy use?
